What We Carry on a Summer Day

Summer changes the way we prepare before leaving home.

Higher temperatures, stronger sunlight, and longer hours outdoors often mean carrying a few extra things throughout the day.

At UNDERCONTROL and URH, we spend a lot of time designing products for everyday movement. Naturally, we also end up paying attention to the items we personally carry most often.

This isn't necessarily a list of best sellers or new releases.

It's simply a look at the products and gear that members of our team regularly keep in their bags during summer.

Q. What is one item you always carry during summer?

JH / Logistics Team

"A mesh bandana."

I usually leave the office and head somewhere else afterward, whether that's a short walk, a workout, or meeting friends.

The weather changes quickly throughout the day, and I tend to sweat easily.

A bandana doesn't take up much space, so I keep one in my bag almost every day.

Sometimes I wear it on my head, sometimes around my neck, and sometimes it just stays in my pocket until I need it.

Lately I've been carrying the URH A-004 Mesh Bandana most often.

Q. What about you?

MK / Marketing Team

"A cap and sunglasses."

I spend a lot of time moving between meetings, cafés, and outdoor locations.

A cap is usually the first thing I grab before heading out.

It helps block sunlight, keeps my hair in place, and works with almost anything I'm wearing that day.

Sunglasses are just as important during summer.

Recently I've been wearing the URH C-007 quite often because of the side pocket structure.

Being able to secure sunglasses on the cap without carrying an extra case sounds simple, but it's surprisingly useful throughout the day.

Q. Is there anything you carry even when you're not exercising?

SY / Product Team

"Definitely a lightweight cap."

A lot of people assume outdoor caps are only for running or hiking.

But I probably use them more often while traveling or during everyday activities.

Something lightweight and easy to fold becomes much more useful than you expect.

If a cap can fit into a bag without worrying about its shape, it naturally gets used more often.

That's one of the reasons I frequently carry models like the URH C-001.

Q. Anything unexpected in your bag?

DL / Design Team

"Honestly? Usually two hats."

One for what I'm wearing, and another just in case.

Sometimes the weather changes.

Sometimes I end up somewhere different than planned.

And sometimes I simply want another option.

It sounds unnecessary, but when products are lightweight and easy to carry, it becomes surprisingly normal.

I think a lot of people who wear hats regularly would understand.

Gear That Stays With You

Everyone carries something different.

Some prefer caps. Some prefer bandanas. Others won't leave home without sunglasses.

There isn't a single correct setup.

The best gear is usually the gear that fits naturally into your routine and stays useful throughout the day.

At UNDERCONTROL and URH, that's the kind of product we're always trying to create.

Not something you wear once in a while.

Something you naturally reach for before heading out the door.
